The Suicide Prevention Regional Coordinators work with individuals, organizations, and communities to support community-led suicide prevention efforts. Suicide Prevention Regional Coordinators help:
- Provide technical assistance and support
- Increase awareness of mental health and suicide prevention
- Provide information on the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, and other statewide and regional mental health and suicide resources
- Prioritize health equity and populations at risk
- Disseminate resources on effective policies, practices, and programs to prevent suicide, guided by the goals and objectives laid out in the Minnesota Suicide Prevention State Plan
- Convene regional meetings to network and encourage collaboration and alignment of those working on mental health promotion and suicide prevention
