Question, Persuade, Refer – QPR

Learn the three steps anyone can take to help prevent suicide.  Just like CPR, QPR is an emergency response to someone in crisis and can save lives. QPR is the most widely taught gatekeeper training program in the United States, and more than one million adults have been trained in classroom settings in 48 states.

Please join us for a training on suicide prevention. Hanna Marzinske from Disaster Behavioral Health (MDH) will be providing this virtual training March 6, 2025 from 3:00-4:30 pm. Key components of the training are: 1) How to Question, Persuade, and Refer someone who may be suicidal; 2) How to get help for yourself or learn more about preventing suicide; 3) The common causes of suicidal behavior: 4) The warning signs of suicide; and 5) How to get help for someone in crisis. To register for this free training (with 1.5 CE credits), register at https://www.train.org with ID #1124554. For questions, please contact Hanna.Marzinske.Contractor@state.mn.us.
