ASIST
Are you a community member or an adult working with youth? The LivingWorks ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training) is a two-day interactive workshop designed to equip you with essential skills to intervene with someone who may be experiencing thoughts of suicide. What You Will Learn:
- How to develop a personalized safety plan to ensure someone’s immediate safety and connect them with further support.
- Effective communication strategies to openly talk about personal and community attitudes surrounding suicide.
- Skills to intervene and offer the necessary support in crisis situations.

Join us on May 6-7th from 8 AM to 4 PM at Grand Portage Lodge and Casino. Breakfast and Lunch will be provided.
This training is funded through the Substance Misuse and Suicide Grant, which was awarded to the Cook County Department of Public Health.
