Applied Suicide Skills Intervention Training (ASIST)

Trusted by professionals, approved by the World Health Organization and learnable by anyone, LivingWorks Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) is the only workshop of its kind.

At a LivingWorks ASIST workshop, you’ll learn how to recognize when someone may be thinking about suicide, and how to provide a skilled intervention and develop a safety plan with the person to connect them to further support. ASIST is a best practice in suicide prevention where participants learn to intervene and help prevent the immediate risk of suicide. Studies have proven that the ASIST method helps reduce suicidal feelings for those at risk.

This is a two-day, 16 hour interactive workshop. Everyone over the age of 16 years who wants to help keep the people around them safe from suicide should attend. Cost is $50. Light breakfast, snacks, lunch and beverages will be provided both days, as part of the $50 registration fee. This registration fee also holds your spot as there is limited capacity. 

ASIST can also provide those in formal helping roles with professional development: Continuing Education Units (CEU) are available to workshop participants.

This training is brought to you by Livwell Partners in partnership with the Minnesota Suicide Prevention Trainer Network, North Central States Regional Council of Carpenters (NCSRCC), and LivingWorks. The training will be held at the NCSRCC building located at 700 Olive St, St Paul, MN 55130.
