When someone attempts to take their life, the aftermath can be filled with raw and complicated emotions. Recovery oftentimes is both physically and emotionally challenging for the individual and their loved ones. But recovery and finding hope after an attempt is possible. People can and do move forward from a suicide attempt. The healing journey will take a unique path and each person may cope or struggle in different ways with their lived experience. It takes time to heal both physically and emotionally, but healing can happen.
