SUMMARY:Applied Suicide Skills Intervention Training (ASIST)
DESCRIPTION:Learn to provide suicide first aid. ASIST is a best practice in suicide prevention where participants learn to intervene and help prevent the immediate risk of suicide. Studies have proven that the ASIST method helps reduce suicidal feelings for those at risk. This is a two-day, 16 hour interactive workshop. This class has been approved by the Board of Social Work to provide 12 CEU’s upon completion (fee applies.) This class meets the continuing education requirement for teachers.\nCost is $45 and scholarships are available. If you need a scholarship, please email clinkenmeyer@namimn.org. Coffee and lunch will be provided on both days.\nParticipants must complete both days in order to receive CEUs.\n
